If you ever run out of topics to talk about Singapore, the followings may help:

If you are ever dissatistied with a stewardess because she didn’t flirt with you and you actually slapped her, you can quote a recent case where the prosecutors DROPPED the case. If prosecutors refuse to drop the case, ask them what was the difference between the prior case and yours.

(4) Why Malaysia can reform and Singapore cannot.

(5) Why Malaysia can sue for NS death but not Singapore.

(6) Why Singaporeans do not have a choice to pay more for Malaysia clean water but forced to drink sai chwee (newater).

(7) Why foreigners are getting better treatment not only in Singapore but on SQ as well.

(8) Took months for the minister to tell you that Mas Selamat has escaped due to guard’s problem. Sorry and let’s move on.

When you watch TV media news on a daily basis, you will hear news of foreign leaders like Bush, Brown, Rudd, Hu, Fukuda, Putin et al. News crews would follow them almost everywhere they go and comment on what their policies are. However, the HIGHEST paid leader of any country in the world do not get even mentioned in their own daily local news. Ah Beng who goes around loan sharking gets more mention.

Why is that so? I mean when Mas Selamat went missing, it took more than a week for PM Lee to respond. In fact SM and MM respond faster than PM. Some might say maybe PM Lee is busy building up ties with foreign countries but yet factually it seems SM and MM are doing more overseas trip than the PM itself. Maybe 10 times more. Fact is, even for local news, SM and MM are getting more air time than PM. No where else in the world does a leader gets less mention than his previous bosses.

Sometimes, I cannot help but to think that even the President whose duties are to shake hands and do some open houses here and then, seem to get more air time.
