(1) Mas Selamat has run road for a few months. Minister still happily collecting monthly salary. Gurkha guards probably sacked. And best of all, 66.6% of Singaporeans have forgotten.

(2) Billions of dollars loss on papers. CEO happily collecting monthly salary. Investment analysts probably sacked.

(3) Slapping an SQ stewardess. If you are ever dissatistied with a stewardess because she didn’t flirt with you and you actually slapped her, you can quote a recent case where the prosecutors DROPPED the case. If prosecutors refuse to drop the case, ask them what was the difference between the prior case and yours.

(4) Why Malaysia can reform and Singapore cannot.

(5) Why Malaysia can sue for NS death but not Singapore.

(6) Why Singaporeans do not have a choice to pay more for Malaysia clean water but forced to drink sai chwee (newater).

(7) Why foreigners are getting better treatment not only in Singapore but on SQ as well.

(8) Took months for the minister to tell you that Mas Selamat has escaped due to guard’s problem. Sorry and let’s move on.

(9) It is an honest mistake!

(10) TT Durai is still getting paid well in his new job. Richard Yong will most likely get the same treatment. Elites can make mistakes while heartlanders cannot?

When you watch TV media news on a daily basis, you will hear news of foreign leaders like Bush, Brown, Rudd, Hu, Fukuda, Putin et al. News crews would follow them almost everywhere they go and comment on what their policies are. However, the HIGHEST paid leader of any country in the world do not get even mentioned in their own daily local news. Ah Beng who goes around loan sharking gets more mention.

Why is that so? I mean when Mas Selamat went missing, it took more than a week for PM Lee to respond. In fact SM and MM respond faster than PM. Some might say maybe PM Lee is busy building up ties with foreign countries but yet factually it seems SM and MM are doing more overseas trip than the PM itself. Maybe 10 times more. Fact is, even for local news, SM and MM are getting more air time than PM. No where else in the world does a leader gets less mention than his previous bosses.

Sometimes, I cannot help but to think that even the President whose duties are to shake hands and do some open houses here and then, seem to get more air time.

So, excuse me, do you know where Lee Hsien Loong is?

Remember the woman who was trying to sell muffin but her muffin looked so bad that no one bother to buy from her. Her average sales was like $30 and then came along Channel 8 and their life saving show, where this woman, Felicia was introduced to a top chef from Orchard Hotel, Sunny Sia. You could see from the show that she wanted to make quiche but was good at pointing out that Singaporeans would probably prefer muffins to quiche.

But because of her good attitude compared with some other participants on the show, like the woman who wanted to do up some spicy good Indonesian food who blamed everything on everyone else except herself. Sometimes appearing on such reality show would be a publicity booster but yet one has to becareful because small mistakes can turn you into a monster only to be exaggerated by a thousand times.

While you will see how many Singaporeans complained about life, here’s one gutsy lady who actually signed up for the show hoping for a better future. She is already having the entrepeneurial spirit by planning her second stall. Perhaps Mediacrap can think of more similar crappy shows which will help itself and the participants to make more money rather than doing charity shows where they will take a good percentage of the donated amount.

So much for standing behind their Singapore girl. Singapore Airlines, I bet you a million bucks will not do anything further. Afterall, the husband of the woman in question sits on its subsidiary board. In this news report, the police prosecutors did an amazing withdrawal of charges against Madam Tan Siew Hoon after giving her a “warning”. Wouldn’t this be double standard if in future they start charging others? But if they do not start charging, then isn’t it free for all to start slapping air stewardess if you think her services are below par?

Let me tell you this, whoever is behind this decision is definitely making one of the biggest mistakes of his or her life. Come on, even if there is no corruption involve, wouldn’t you at least feel that there could be? Not necessary monetary corruption but moral and civic consciousness corruption. Won’t you be sending the wrong signal across the world that Singapore legal system can be a joke? Of course we know from the past that it seems that for the same set of charges, foreign talents seems to be getting away with a slap in the wrist, this will take the epitome that elites will get off with just a “warning”, not even a slap in the wrist.

And for Singapore Airlines to have came out and said that they are behind their air stewardess in cases of assault, I am sure they are not doing enough in this case. So it is personal interests over the general good image of the Airlines. I am sure my blog will be one of many who will criticise the entire proceedings.

As the government assures Singaporeans that there are adequate rice for all Singaporeans, Singaporeans will do their usual kiasu stunt and wipe the entire island of rice stockholding clean. Now, price of a bag of rice will definitely go up. So much for the three months stockpile which seems to be non-existent.

Will there be a mass exodus to Malaysia to buy rice? Afterall, Malaysia has plenty of rice and the supermarket is still stocked up with rice. That is of course only for the bravehearted who will endure the torture of going through a “supposedly” jammed causeway. Even then, be prepared for Malaysian authorities with their ever changing policies depending on which of the bed their boss woke up that morning. They may be out to stop your party. That’s right, no rice for you Singaporeans, they shout.

This missing phenomenon is widely seen in Phillipines. O, and Hong Kong too.

Occasionally I question where the missing rice are. Afterall, there is no significant increase in population in Asia. There is no reduction in rice production. In fact there is a price increase for rice. Are there unethical rice traders who are hoarding rice to push the price of rice up only to release the stock later? If so, they are doing it quite succesfully. And more, they will starve a few Filipinos to death.

So tell me, where is my rice.

Tags: rice, empty, shortage, singapore, phillipines, hong, kong, production, population

Singapore can be said to be one of the most transparent country. Yes, so transparent that when the government makes a mistake, they will tell you about it. Yes, it is an honest mistake. So let’s move on. Well, that’s Singapore and transparent.

Look at how well the and how well oiled the media propagandas in Singapore are. They will tell you how much occupancy rates the hotels are enjoying at the moment. They will tell you how you must book 5 nights in a row to enjoy F1. They will tell you how suits which used to costs like $5,000 a night will go for $15,000 for F1. They will tell you this F1 will be a huge success.

But what they never tell you is that they lost an opportunity some one decade plus ago, when Bernie Ecclestone offered Singapore a chance to host F1. No, they try not to remind you with that. Because then, the elites were enjoy games of golfs that they rather play golf than to see F1. However, Mahathir jumped at the opportunity and brought F1 to Malaysia. Despite losing money in the first few years of hosting the events, Kuala Lumpur was bustling with festive atmosphere whenever the F1 circus is in town. Looking at how in such a short weekend, the economic turnover can jump to the tune of a few hundred millions, Singapore realised that it must reinvent its economy to include F1. So even when most Asian circuits rejected calls to hold the event at night, Singapore jumped at the opportunity to ensure that it will get a chance to host the event, even though Korea, India and a couple of Middle East countries were keen to hold races in their ground.

Then the other famous mistakes. Telling Singaporeans not to give birth. Stop at 2. now realising that human capital is perhaps one of the most important component of its economy, it has to rely on foreign talent to make up the short fall of the labours needed to run the entire Singapore economy.

What about Casinos? After Genting made its first foray into the unknown, MM, then a PM, Lee Kuan Yew said Singapore will never fall to preys of casinos as the associated costs of a casino is too high. Broken family, drugs, prostituitions and many factors which are negatively linked to the establishment of a casino. But now, Singapore will not just have a casino but two.

Let us not even get into Mas Selamat.

O well, let’s wait and see who pays eventually.

Read this story from ChannelNewsAsia.

Why is an angmor given such a light sentence? This is definitely not a deterrent sentence. And the judge is WRONG to say that in future there may be jail term because this case can be used as a reference. What makes this man different from others who may be doing the same stunt? Does the judge has any idea how much man hour resources, how much money is wasted and how much down time the man has created?

$5,000 seems like a cheap thrill Daytona run. $5,000 is nothing for someone who can charter a Cessna (or did he own that plane?) into Singapore. I cannot remember exactly which country, but there is one country in the Scandinavia that imposes fines depending on a person’s income. So that the fine is a deterrent.

What message is Singapore sending to the rest of the world that after the escape of Mas Selamat, it is giving only lip service to security threats? I thought it would be of an utmost importance that all security matters be prioritised and deterred. I can tell you surely that such a sentence would not provide even a single deterrent for the man to even do it again.

Singapore government is like a parent to all Singaporeans.

Remember in the early 80s they tell you how it is important not to have too many children. Stop at two, Lee Kuan Yew will tell you. Too many, it seems will be too much for the small resources that Singapore will produced. So succesful is the government propaganda that people infact did not stop at two. They decided not to have any children. Women decided not to get married unless it was with caucasians often belittling the local males.

now it seems that the more you give birth to, the bigger the reward will be. Fact is in the past even women who married foreigners may result in their children not being able to fight for citizenship if the children are born outside Singapore. That law has since been changed. Everyday Singaporeans now face with the prospect of having to fight for their career survivals with supposedly foreign talents who have little or no patriotism towards their new found country. But was it ordinary Singaporeans fault for not having enough people to sustain the nation’s economic growth?

Then to solve the problem of the girls not wanting to get married, SDU was formed. Yeah, that Single, desperate and ugly unit. Don’t know how many of you went through SDU but I know a lot of people went through it to get social networking than to look for lifetime partners.

now with inflation seeping into everybody’s everyday’s life, it has been painful. The government will not do anything about it, instead will kick you in the butt and tell you GST will further rise by another 2% even though the budget surplus is more than enough to pay for the GST rise and their salary increments. Instead they offer you simple solutions like “don’t eat branded bread”. Yeah, you heard that right. “Let them eat cakes!” was the cause of the French Revolution. I wonder if “Let them eat unbranded bread” has any implication on the general public.

First they tell you no bar top dancing then suddenly they say we have to be cool and open society so bar top dancing is good and okay. Then because of some idiots messing up the MRT system with chewing gums, the entire island is banned from chewing gums, making it the first country in the world to do so.

Then remember how they say that casino will not be built in Singapore because it is bad for you? But now they tell you in order for Singapore to survive, they need to reinvent itself and have not just one but two casinos. Sometimes you will get dizzy spells and cannot understand if they have any principles at all.

Singapore mainstream media propaganda machines are working overtime again. They were succesful in the first instance when they told the easily tricked Singaporeans into believing that everyone of them that crosses the causeway would get raped, pillaged, carjacked, robbed or whatever nasty things the mainstream media could conjure.

Stories of how Singaporeans are met with misfortunes gets front page news. They are now going full time to portray how the jam are making Singaporeans abort their usual shopping trip to Johor Bahru.

Fact is that if people actually took their time to go to the causeway, they will realize the jam is actually much better which question why the main stream media is only picking up on the story now. They should have spent more time dedicating their precious time slot into why Mas Selamat is still not caught or if there has been cover up that Singaporeans should know. Sometimes I wonder why Singapore government is being so nasty to its poorer Johor Bahru cousins by constantly using subliminal methods into tricking Singaporeans not to go over and spend their precious earnings. The gullible will always be gullible I guess.

Nonetheless their effort will make it easier for Malaysians working in Singapore for a no jam experience.

Sometimes, it is not hard to imagine that how Singaporeans can believe everything they read. Like how they believed the Government would upgrade their estates only to find out later that the GST would increased by another 2%. So who actually pays for the upgrades? You think about it.

But yet people always believe things. Like how the fear politics that if you vote for opposition you will be left out in development, like how Potong Pasir seems like a kampung in Singapore. Like how Kelantan is in Malaysia. I think I should tick humour for this post under my category right?
