The two words Integrated Resort has been off the tongues of so many Singaporeans Important people that it is no longer a catch phrase but a reality. Everyone wants to have a share of the integrated resorts. Companies from US and Malaysia partnering with local partners are eyeing on a share.
NTUC not wanting to lose out is even trying to change its Pasir Ris hang out to a localised version of an Integrated Resort which would mean business would operate on a 24 hours basis. It would have an ah beng based theme park with heaps of local content (meaning they don’t want to pay royalties to any fake ang mor’s franchises).
Then can anyone remember the catch phrase of Hub? Everything was planned to be a hub in Singapore. Starting from HDB hub to Star Hub to Biopolise Hub to Petrochemical Hub to whatever-you-like Hub. So what better way than to match this two catch words together and call Integrated Resort Hub.
