Singapore - A True Specialist In Hubbing

The hottest word in town is not hubbing at the moment but rather at the mere mentioned of the word Sentosa, it would send people’s minds wondering into heighten property price and heaps of promises and grandeur mega projects. It seems nothing can replace Sentosa at the moment except Sentosa itself. Hot on the heel of STB announcing the masterplan for the entire Southern Islands, comes another two announcements. More hot airs?

Frankly, sports tourism? Interesting concept. Except for past olympic stadiums tours, I personally have yet to hear of the idea of a sports tourism. If it was somewhat link to Manchester United, then I can see people would definitely want to go see players training, or buy sports merchandise. But to go see Geylang United? I personally feel the girls at Geylang would be more of a draw than any of that football team.

Then even better, space tourism. Sure the Russians have been flying tourists into space in their cash strap but space technology environment. But to have such concept in Singapore? A country who has yet to fire up their own satellite wants to be involved with space tourism? Interesting. Would you even dare to go aboard the plane if they were to give you a free trip (Normal Price: US$150,000 - damm, why is it in US dollars even though the site is in Singapore?).

Now are those hot air or what?
