Nude In Singapore Then; NO NUDITY in Singapore NOW

Two iconic topless shows got canned within weeks of one another. Coincident or what? Neptune Restaurant which has been running topless shows for the last 30 years or so has decided to finally pull the curtain closed. For another entity, the Crazy Horse which opened with much fanfare has finally decided to close their $4million 13 months misadventure.

So what is going on in Singapore? Has Singaporeans decided once and for all that nudity and related entertainment is not for them? Afterall, the people did complain that the government has been too strict and some relaxation ought to do it. So why aren’t Singaporeans rushing to see this show which has acclaimed so many fans in its two other venues, Paris and Las Vegas. The show costs many times more than the Singapore’s.

But hang on a minute. Remember the girl who cause Technorati to crash? Yes, Tammy is her name. So Singaporeans aren’t that receptive towards such culture it is just that they prefer different delivery system. Since Singapore is one of the most highly wired nation in the world, perhaps its people prefer delivery via the broadband in the comfort of their own home. Afterall, the likes of Sarong Party Girl nude photos also gartner the same support.

Perhaps it is time for the government to relax another set of law? More nudity on the net?
