Tiger Airways Tamed In Perth

Come February 1st, Singapore-Kuala Lumpur route will be opened up. Given the recent trend with Tiger Airways, it doesn’t look good for this wild airlines. Apparently the pilot has decided that some of his crews had not rested enough and decided to abort flight. Who cares about the paying customers. Nevermind if the plane is good conditions. Nor were there any backup plans.

Customers may be paying budget fares but the least they can do is to respond to public’s demand. Frankly, I would rather see Singapore Airlines disassociate itself from this disgraceful subsidiary airlines. How would it be possible for Tiger Airlines to compete with a foe who seems to be many planes ahead of it?

Afterall the government had not foresee the big market budget airlines have. So, when Air Asia started knocking sense into many government’s heads, it was then Singapore decided to give budget airline ago, immediately approving three airlines in one shot. Though two weaker ones had to merge, the budget travelling market seems to be still in its infancy in Singapore.

Who wil triumph in the coming battle of ASEAN Budget Airlines?
