Singapore Media Spinning Tales Again and Again..

Singapore mainstream media propaganda machines are working overtime again. They were succesful in the first instance when they told the easily tricked Singaporeans into believing that everyone of them that crosses the causeway would get raped, pillaged, carjacked, robbed or whatever nasty things the mainstream media could conjure.

Stories of how Singaporeans are met with misfortunes gets front page news. They are now going full time to portray how the jam are making Singaporeans abort their usual shopping trip to Johor Bahru.

Fact is that if people actually took their time to go to the causeway, they will realize the jam is actually much better which question why the main stream media is only picking up on the story now. They should have spent more time dedicating their precious time slot into why Mas Selamat is still not caught or if there has been cover up that Singaporeans should know. Sometimes I wonder why Singapore government is being so nasty to its poorer Johor Bahru cousins by constantly using subliminal methods into tricking Singaporeans not to go over and spend their precious earnings. The gullible will always be gullible I guess.

Nonetheless their effort will make it easier for Malaysians working in Singapore for a no jam experience.

Sometimes, it is not hard to imagine that how Singaporeans can believe everything they read. Like how they believed the Government would upgrade their estates only to find out later that the GST would increased by another 2%. So who actually pays for the upgrades? You think about it.

But yet people always believe things. Like how the fear politics that if you vote for opposition you will be left out in development, like how Potong Pasir seems like a kampung in Singapore. Like how Kelantan is in Malaysia. I think I should tick humour for this post under my category right?

small comment. GST increased by 40% and not 2%. An increase of 2% point from 5% point is a 40% increase. guess the mainstream media had an effect on you as well. :-)

Great post! This would really help in enlightening some people. Everything out there in the media is fake. Everybody tells lies. Sometime, you can’t even believe what you see.

Now, Singaporeans are just plain gullible, but that actually makes things easier for the government, come to think of it. Isn’t it so?

Propaganda is, at most times, useful to the propagandist. But for its receivers, it is plain deception. Honesty should be a key point for Singapore’s governance, frankly. Sadly, it isn’t.
